Four services.Four risks removed.
Most AI money is lost to the same thing: technology without transformation. Licences bought, work unchanged, nothing measurable at the end. These four services exist to stop that. You are not buying four pieces of consulting — you are taking four different worries off the table, one at a time. You commit to the next step only.
Each stage answers a different board question.
Opportunity risk
Are we even looking in the right places?
Removed by the Assessment.
Prioritisation risk
Are we starting with the right one?
Removed by the Briefing.
Transformation and investment risk
Do we know what changes, what it is worth, and has it been proven?
Removed by the Accelerator.
Realisation risk
Did what we approved survive the build, and is it paying back?
Removed by Value Orchestration.
Formalus reduces the commercial risk between AI ambition and realised value.
Four services. Nothing else.
Start complimentary. Take each step when you are ready, and pay only for the stage you need.
Executive AI Opportunity Assessment
Forty-five minutes, online. A short session with your leadership team that answers one question: is this worth exploring at all?
You leave with a one-page summary of where you stand, an opportunity heat map for your sector, indicative priorities and a straight recommendation — proceed, look further, wait, or don’t invest.
Executive AI Briefing
One day, on site. A working session with your leadership team that answers: where should we act first?
You leave with a prioritised opportunity map, a value heat map showing what is worth most against what is realistic, and a written record of what was chosen, rejected or deferred — and why.
AI Accelerator
Four to eight weeks. The main engagement. It answers: what should change, what is it worth, and can we prove it?
You leave with the work redesigned, a business case in your own numbers, a working demonstration of the biggest opportunity, and a specification your technology partner can start from.
AI Value Orchestration
Twelve-month initial term. It answers: are we building and realising the value the board approved?
Four commercial checkpoints during the build, then measurement afterwards — what it actually returned against what was promised, where value is slipping, and what to do about it.
Each one goes a layer deeper than the last.
We arrive with a model of how businesses like yours make money. Every stage takes that model further into your business, and nothing is claimed before it is known.
Assessment
Tests whether the sector model fits you at all. You correct it; we record what we got wrong.
Briefing
Takes the model down to how the work is typically done in firms of your type, and finds where you differ.
Accelerator
Establishes how the work actually runs here — the variants and exceptions nobody wrote down.
Value Orchestration
Measures what it returned against a baseline taken before anything was built.
By the end you have findings that were measured, not asserted. Almost nobody in this market can say that.
Small decisions first. Big ones only when they are earned.
Most AI spending goes wrong because the first significant commitment is also the largest one. This runs the other way round.
Nothing to decide yet
Forty-five minutes tells you whether there is anything here worth your leadership team’s attention. If there isn’t, we will say so.
£2,500 before the Accelerator
A day in the room settles where to concentrate. That is a small price for stopping a much larger piece of work pointing at the wrong thing.
The Accelerator before the build
The Accelerator costs a fraction of a typical implementation, and it is what stops the implementation being aimed at the wrong process.
What each one actually delivers.
Nine capabilities. The Accelerator carries all nine. The other two carry what can honestly be done in the time.
| Capability | Assessment | Briefing | Accelerator |
|---|---|---|---|
| Executive discovery | One conversation | The room, one day | 7–28 interviews |
| Executive workshops | — | Five exercises | Four workshops |
| AI opportunity identification | Indicative | Scored, in the room | Prioritised and quantified |
| Business process analysis | — | Outline | Task level, costed |
| Business case development | — | — | In your own numbers |
| Process redesign | — | — | Future state, by role |
| Operating model design | — | — | Roles, controls, adoption |
| Solution architecture | — | — | Blocks, tiers, connections |
| Proof of concept | — | — | Shown to your board |
Solution architecture means the named blocks and how they connect — which platforms, in which tier, with what passes between them. Not technical design. Every block carries an owner, and the owner is your technology partner.
Two capabilities. Both required.
None of these four services include building anything. That is deliberate, and it is what makes the advice worth having.
Successful AI transformation needs both. We work alongside your existing technology partner rather than replacing them.
Not sure which one you need?
That is what the complimentary assessment is for. Forty-five minutes, and an honest answer about where you should start — or whether you should start at all.
