1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the website at formalus.com (the “Site”) and the Commercial Readiness Assessment (“L0 Assessment”). The Site is operated by Formalus Limited, registered in England & Wales (company number 10374580), registered office 20–22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, United Kingdom.

By using the Site or the L0 Assessment, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Site.

2. Use of the Site

You may use the Site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

• Use the Site in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, server, or related systems
• Use any automated system to scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Site beyond reasonable indexing by public search engines
• Misrepresent your identity, organisation, or capacity in any submission
• Use the Site to transmit material that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringing

3. The Commercial Readiness Assessment (L0)

The L0 Assessment is provided free of charge as an architectural diagnostic. By submitting the L0 Assessment you acknowledge that:

• The output is a diagnostic indication based on your stated inputs, not a professional opinion of record
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit
• Anonymised, aggregated data from your submission may be used in the Formalus Index and Benchmark
• The L0 Assessment does not create a professional advisory relationship between you and Formalus Limited

Paid engagements (L1, L2, L3) are governed by separate engagement letters and Master Services Agreements, not by these website terms.

4. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — text, frameworks, diagrams, the Architecture Map, the Six Dimensions, the Three Laws, the Four-Tier Category Architecture, the Six Costs framework, copy, and visual identity — is the intellectual property of Formalus Limited unless explicitly attributed otherwise. You may:

• Read, print, and download Site content for your own non-commercial reference
• Quote brief extracts with attribution and link back to the original page
• Cite Formalus frameworks in your own work with attribution

You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit Site content, frameworks, or assessment output without prior written permission.

5. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law:

• The Site and the L0 Assessment are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind
• Formalus Limited does not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or virus-free operation
• Formalus Limited is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, Site content or L0 Assessment output
• Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law

6. Third-party links and content

The Site may link to third-party sites or embed third-party content (e.g. calendar booking widgets, newsletter platforms). Formalus Limited is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties.

7. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when the current version took effect. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms or your use of the Site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
